Hello and bonjour ! I’m an entrepreneur, writer and translator with a Master’s degree in French translation from the Monterey Institute of International Studies. I’m originally from southern California, but now I live in Paris.
A professional and recreational blogger, I contribute regularly to several blogs, including Web Worker Daily (a GigaOm blog), whose readers are web-oriented knowledge workers who think, live and work outside of the cubicle. I also write a few of my own blogs.
I founded Francophilia.com, the international social network for francophiles because, as a lifelong francophile living far from la francophonie myself, I could never get enough Frenchiness. So I thought I’d create a place where people like me could get a French fix. I have big plans for Francophilia!
I am also a public speaker, offering talks and workshops on topics related to social media.
I am thrilled to be alive right now, watching as society changes before my eyes (though I once said that, with Twitter, it’s more like watching society change its underwear before your very eyes…). I marvel every day at the way the Internet is breaking down barriers and I see it already having an effect on human interaction in the real world.
